All Aluris have fur sleeves! Their forearms and back legs are covered in intricate, strong plates which are made off microscopic gemme stones called Crystallinus-Proteins, which are translucent and once protected their sensitive skin when the aluri slept underground. These days the plates offer protection when fighting against others of their species or hostile creatures. The fur once prevented dirt from getting between the sensitive plate gaps, which allowed them to move their arms. Now, sleeves are mostly just a sign of attractiveness. The longer the sleeves, the more attractive the aluris is considered in their society. This is why long sleeves are usually rare ( and actually pretty unhandy). Aluri can stuff things in there, like small items they need for their daily lives, pockets with money or just some tasty food.
Its also pretty common to see a lots of swirls in their fur texture around their limbs. Aluri usually style their sleeves with flowers or colorful fabric, however it´s always important for them that their sleeves are visible. The only general exception is when wearing armor, as it is generally seen as impractical for fighting.

Common Sleeves
Aluris usually have short sleeves, pretty comfy and handy. They usually grow over the elbow, but cannot be longer than that, as it would considered uncommon. They can have all kinds of textures, ranging from wooly to plain or even dreads. Small additional fur tufts can grow everywhere while two layers of fur are considered uncommon.
Uncommon Sleeves
Medium long sleeves, usually more beautiful than short ones. Anything with lots of fur and long strands. There are some stylized sleeves, like the "Wings". It´s also uncommon for aluris to have more than two layers of fur. Like the common ones, these come in a great variety of fur texture and can have many different patterns.
Rare Sleeves
Rare sleeves are very long and are considered very beautiful. Usually these are very unhandy because the fur touches the ground if it's too long and they can stumble over their own braids. It´s possible that their hands are covered in fur as well, but usually it ends at the wrist.
